Defy was founded in 2020 by CEO David Pell. An Award-Winning Agency, across our dynamic and award-winning team we have over 50 years combined experience of marketing and business development.

David established Defy after over 16 years of founding from startup to high growth, award-winning businesses. He wanted to bring the skills, knowledge, experience and understanding of what it took to start and grow a business to help others to do the same.

Through his own experience of dealing with agencies, their lack of understanding of the entrepreneurial mindset and the challenges of scaling – Defy was was established to fill the gap, to work with businesses and entrepreneurs, to partner with them armed with true understanding of founding and operating businesses from the ground up.

At Defy we identified a need to do things differently for ambitious businesses and their owners seeking Marketing and Commercial expertise.

Our ethos is very much one of first-hand involvement, you can view us as an extension of your business and your team but with the knowledge that we are also detached enough to be able to take an alternative and objective perspective of the operations.
